Born in Ste-Anne, Manitoba, Canada, Marc
Tetro studied design at LaSalle College in Montréal,
Québec.
May 1985, a Picasso exhibition at the Montréal
Museum of Fine Arts, inspired Marc to put brush to paper and create
images to be produced on t-shirts. Sold at Eaton and Ogilvy department
stores, the bold new style was a huge success.
February 1986, Marc creates a series of images
for EXPO 1986 that are distributed nation wide by the T.Eaton Company.
September 1987, the Montréal Urban
Community Transit Commission commissions Marc to create an image
to promote public transportation.
July 1988, Tetro is commissioned by the World
Philharmonic Orchestra to create an image for the 'Concert for Peace'.
February 1989, Marc is asked by the World
Wildlife Fund to paint a series of images of endangered wildlife.
